Company intelligence / Profile preview
Geneva Pharmaceuticals was a leading American manufacturer of generic prescription drugs, formerly headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado. Founded in 1966 as Cord Laboratories, the company became a major player in the U.S. generics market, producing a wide array of small molecule therapeutics across multiple therapeutic areas. In 2003, its parent company, Novartis, consolidated Geneva and several other generic subsidiaries under the global Sandoz brand. While the Geneva name was retired during this rebranding, its legacy operations and manufacturing infrastructure continue to function as a core component of Sandoz's United States business. The company was historically recognized for being among the first to bring generic versions of blockbuster drugs to market.
