Company intelligence / Profile preview
GenoSpectra was a biotechnology company focused on developing multiplexed molecular analysis tools for the parallel quantitative analysis of genes and proteins. The company's core technologies, including the QuantiGene and Procarta assays, allowed researchers to measure multiple RNA or protein targets directly from cell lysates or tissue samples without the need for amplification or purification. These platforms were designed to bridge the gap between high-throughput screening and clinical validation in drug discovery. In 2006, GenoSpectra rebranded as Panomics to better reflect its expanded product portfolio. Panomics was later acquired by Affymetrix in 2008 for approximately $25 million, and its products are now part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific portfolio.
