GenSci Regeneration Sciences

GenSci Regeneration Sciences Inc. was a Canadian biotechnology company that specialized in the development and commercialization of orthobiologic products for bone and tissue regeneration. The company's primary focus was on demineralized bone matrix (DBM) technologies, which were marketed under brand names such as OrthoBlast, DynaGraft, and Accell. These products were used extensively in orthopedic, spinal, and periodontal surgeries to promote bone healing and were known for their proprietary poloxamer reverse phase medium (RPM) carrier. In 2003, the company's operating assets and its US subsidiary, GenSci OrthoBiologics, were acquired by the Swiss firm IsoTis S.A. for approximately $75 million. IsoTis was later acquired by Integra LifeSciences in 2007, which continues to market several of the original GenSci product lines.
