Company intelligence / Profile preview
Gentris was a leading global provider of applied clinical pharmacogenomic and toxicogenomic services to pharmaceutical companies and CROs. The company specialized in integrating pharmacogenomics into drug development programs to advance personalized medicine by enabling safer and more effective drugs to reach the market faster. Their offerings included DNA microarray analysis for genetic target identification related to adverse drug reactions, gene expression analysis using microarrays and qRT-PCR, as well as custom genotyping panels focused on oncology biomarkers, CYP450 isozyme expression, cell membrane transporters, and more. These capabilities helped clients reduce costs and accelerate timelines in global drug development. In July 2014, Gentris was acquired by Cancer Genetics Inc., after which it ceased independent operations. No current pipeline or clinical results exist as the company did not develop its own therapeutics.
