Company intelligence / Profile preview
GLAS was a private U.S. biospecimen and pathology services company focused on supplying tissue-based human samples for translational research, biomarker development, and companion diagnostics. The company operated as a consultative medical pathology and human biologics provider, with strengths in archived FFPE tissue, custom pathology specimen generation, and curated biospecimen procurement. GLAS was founded by pathologist Cullen Taylor, MD, and was based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In August 2019, Precision for Medicine acquired GLAS, describing it as a leader in tissue-based samples and integrating it into a broader biospecimen solutions platform. As a result, GLAS no longer appears to operate as an independent active company.
