Glialign

Glialign is a London-based biotechnology company and a spinout from University College London (UCL) focused on advancing regenerative medicine for peripheral nerve repair. The company's flagship technology, Engineered Neural Tissue (EngNT), is an off-the-shelf cell therapy designed to mimic the natural structure of nerves and provide a living guide for neural regeneration. By utilizing aligned therapeutic cells within a stabilized hydrogel matrix, Glialign aims to overcome the limitations of traditional nerve grafting, such as donor site morbidity and inconsistent functional recovery. In addition to its cell therapy platform, the company is exploring small molecule activators, including PI3Kα agonists, to further stimulate neuroregeneration and protect tissues following injury.
