Glide Pharmaceutical Technologies was a UK clinical-stage drug delivery and device company focused on needle-free administration of biologics, peptides, and vaccines. Its core technology was the proprietary SDI solid dose injector platform, designed to deliver drug formulations through the skin as solid implants rather than conventional liquid injections. The company advanced internal and partnered programs including octreotide and teriparatide formulations, as well as anthrax and influenza vaccine applications, and it also referenced a prostate cancer diagnostic program. Glide originated as Caretek Medical and was incorporated in 2001, but the company was dissolved in October 2018. It should therefore be viewed as a historical biotech/device company rather than an active operating business.
