Global FSHD Innovation Hub

The Global FSHD Innovation Hub is a collaborative initiative led by the FSHD Society to accelerate the development of treatments for Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD). It serves as a centralized platform that connects patients, researchers, and biopharmaceutical companies to streamline the path from discovery to clinical trials. The Hub manages the FSHD Clinical Trial Research Network (CTRN), a global consortium of academic sites dedicated to validating biomarkers and clinical outcome measures. By providing access to well-characterized patient registries and standardized data, the organization reduces the hurdles for industry partners entering the FSHD space. Its efforts are primarily focused on therapies that target the misexpression of the DUX4 gene, the underlying cause of the disease. Through these coordinated global efforts, the Hub aims to ensure that the therapeutic pipeline for FSHD continues to expand and progress toward regulatory approval.
