Global Research Services (GRS) was a full-service contract research organization (CRO) headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, specializing in clinical trial management for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Founded in 1994, the company established a niche expertise in managing complex trials within the infectious disease and oncology therapeutic areas. GRS provided a comprehensive suite of services, including project management, clinical monitoring, data management, biostatistics, and regulatory affairs support. The organization was known for its high-touch service model and its ability to handle both small-scale and large, multi-center global trials. In June 2013, GRS was acquired by PRA International, which sought to leverage GRS's specialized therapeutic knowledge to enhance its own global service offerings. Following subsequent mergers, the legacy of GRS is now part of ICON plc, one of the world's largest clinical research providers.
