Company intelligence / Profile preview
Glucose Sensing Technologies (GST) was a development-stage medical technology company focused on the advancement of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor systems. Founded as a spin-out from the University of California, Santa Barbara, the company specialized in innovative electrochemical sensing platforms designed to improve the accuracy, reliability, and longevity of glucose sensors for patients with diabetes. In November 2017, GST was acquired by Dexcom for approximately $12.5 million to bolster Dexcom's research and development pipeline for next-generation CGM devices. The company's intellectual property and technical expertise in sensor design and materials science were subsequently integrated into Dexcom's advanced technology division.
