Glycemion

Glycemion was a biotechnology company focused on developing novel oral therapeutics for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes. Founded through the Accelerator Life Science Partners (ALSP) platform in Seattle, the company's technology was based on research from the Pacific Northwest Research Institute regarding the restoration of glucose-sensing capabilities in pancreatic beta cells. Glycemion aimed to address the underlying pathophysiology of diabetes by improving insulin secretion and glycemic control, specifically targeting the Prostaglandin E receptor 3. Although the company advanced its lead programs through pre-clinical development with support from a syndicate of top-tier investors, it is no longer active.
