Goals of Care Coalition of New Jersey

The Goals of Care Coalition of New Jersey (GOCCNJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of care for patients with serious illnesses through better communication and advance care planning. The coalition provides resources, tools, and training for healthcare professionals and the public to ensure that medical treatment aligns with patient preferences. A key focus of the organization is the implementation and promotion of the Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) program across New Jersey. By fostering collaboration among hospitals, hospices, and long-term care facilities, GOCCNJ works to standardize end-of-life care practices and honor patient goals.
