Golden State Donor Services, now operating as Sierra Donor Services, is a federally designated Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) based in Sacramento, California. As a division of DCI Donor Services, the organization facilitates the recovery of life-saving organs, eyes, and tissues for transplantation. They serve as the vital link between organ donors and recipients, managing the clinical, legal, and ethical aspects of the donation process. The organization works closely with donor families, hospitals, and transplant centers across Northern California to maximize the availability of organs. In addition to clinical operations, they provide extensive community education and advocacy to increase donor registration.
