Goldman Sachs has launched its first dedicated life sciences venture fund—West Street Life Sciences I—with $650 million raised to invest primarily in early and mid-stage therapeutic and diagnostics/tool companies. The fund focuses on precision medicine, genetic medicine, cell therapy, immunotherapy, synthetic biology and artificial intelligence within the healthcare sector. About $90 million has already been invested across five portfolio biotechs including Moma Therapeutics and Nested Therapeutics
