Goldshield

Goldshield Group was a prominent UK-based specialty pharmaceutical and healthcare company that focused on the acquisition, development, and marketing of off-patent prescription drugs and consumer health products. Established in 1989, the company built a diverse portfolio of niche generic medicines and established brands across therapeutic areas such as endocrinology, cardiovascular health, and rheumatology. Goldshield was publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange until 2009, when it was taken private by the private equity firm Cinven in a deal valued at approximately £180 million. Following the acquisition, it was merged with Mercury Pharma to form AMCo, which eventually became part of Advanz Pharma. The company was also well-known for its consumer division, which marketed vitamins, minerals, and supplements.
