Company intelligence / Profile preview
Goldfinch Bio developed a precision medicine platform for kidney diseases. Its lead candidate, GFB‑887, a TRPC5 inhibitor small molecule, showed some efficacy in reducing proteinuria in FSGS patients but not in diabetic nephropathy. The program was terminated after lukewarm Phase 2 results and business challenges. A second asset, GFB‑024 targeting CB1 with a monoclonal antibody approach for severe insulin-resistant diabetic nephropathy, completed recruitment but did not advance further as the company shut down.
