Company intelligence / Profile preview
Got-A-Gene was a Swedish biotechnology company focused on developing next-generation gene therapy vectors for cancer treatment, with a primary focus on prostate cancer. Founded by Professor Leif Lindholm, the company developed a proprietary platform for genetically retargeting adenoviruses to specific tumor cells while 'detargeting' them from healthy tissues to reduce systemic toxicity. Their technology utilized short-shafted, knobless fibers and antibody-binding domains to redirect viral infection toward cancer-specific markers such as HER2/neu and PSMA. Although the company was active in the early 2000s and participated in major European research consortia, it is no longer active in the commercial biotech space.
