Company intelligence / Profile preview
Gottfries Clinic (Gottfriesmottagningen) was a specialized medical facility located in Mölndal, Sweden, dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and research of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and fibromyalgia. Founded by Professor Carl-Gerhard Gottfries, the clinic was internationally recognized for its expertise in post-viral fatigue and chronic pain conditions. The clinic's approach often involved individualized treatment plans, including the use of high-dose Vitamin B12 and folic acid injections. In addition to clinical care, the institution contributed to medical literature through clinical trials and observational studies focused on the underlying mechanisms of fatigue. Although the clinic officially ceased its clinical operations in late 2023, its research legacy continues to influence the field of neuro-immunology. It served as a critical resource for patients with complex, multi-system illnesses that were often underserved by traditional medical practices.
