GPC Biotech was a German biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing novel anti-cancer drugs. Its lead asset, satraplatin, an oral platinum-based chemotherapy agent for hormone-refractory prostate cancer, reached Phase III trials but did not achieve regulatory approval.
