Overview
GPN Therapeutics is a pre-clinical stage regenerative medicine biotechnology company spun off from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). The company is focused on developing first-in-class orthobiologics and medical devices to enhance bone regeneration and treat joint diseases. Its lead therapeutic candidates are based on Osteoactivin (also known as Glycoprotein Nonmetastatic Melanoma Protein B, or GPNMB), utilizing both recombinant protein (rGPNMB) and peptide (GPNMBp) formulations to promote bone healing and provide chondroprotective effects. GPN Therapeutics is also developing SACCAVI, an autologous bone graft filter system and extraction device designed to improve spinal fusion efficiency and reduce revision rates, particularly in high-risk patients.
