Company intelligence / Profile preview
Graduate Hospital was a prominent medical institution located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with roots dating back to 1889. Originally founded as the Philadelphia Polyclinic and College for Graduates in Medicine, it served as a primary teaching site for the University of Pennsylvania for much of the 20th century. The hospital transitioned through several owners, including the Allegheny Health, Education and Research Foundation and Tenet Healthcare, before closing as an acute care facility in 2007. Following its closure, the University of Pennsylvania Health System acquired the property and repurposed it as the Penn Medicine Rittenhouse campus. Today, the facility focuses on post-acute care, including physical rehabilitation and long-term acute care. The hospital's historical presence also gave its name to the surrounding Graduate Hospital neighborhood in South Philadelphia.
