Grady Health System

Grady Health System operates one of the largest public hospital-based health systems in the Southeast U.S., providing comprehensive acute care and specialty services. It serves as Atlanta’s only Level 1 trauma center and offers nationally recognized programs in burn care, stroke treatment, cancer care (Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence), diabetes management (Diabetes Center), obstetrical intensive care for high-risk pregnancies, sickle cell disease management (24-hour Sickle Cell Center), behavioral/mental health services—the largest in Georgia—and more. The system partners with Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine for clinical education and research. In 2021 alone it provided over $556 million in uncompensated or low-income patient care.
