Grand Cathay Securities

Grand Cathay Securities Corporation was a prominent Taiwanese investment bank and brokerage firm. Established in 1988, the company offered comprehensive financial services, including securities trading, underwriting, and corporate finance advisory. It operated as a key subsidiary of China Development Financial Holding Corporation (CDF). In 2013, Grand Cathay Securities was merged into KGI Securities, another CDF subsidiary, to consolidate the group's brokerage operations. The firm was particularly noted for its role in supporting the growth of Taiwan's high-tech and biotechnology sectors through capital raising and advisory services. Although no longer an independent entity, its legacy remains significant in the history of Taiwan's capital market development.
