Company intelligence / Profile preview
Graphite Bio was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on precision gene editing for severe genetic diseases. The company developed a targeted gene integration platform designed to precisely "find and replace" disease-causing genes, with an initial emphasis on ex vivo gene-edited autologous cell therapies for hematologic and inherited disorders. Its lead program, nulabeglogene autogedtemcel (nula-cel), entered the clinic for sickle cell disease before the company discontinued development and pursued strategic alternatives. Graphite subsequently divested certain gene-editing assets to Kamau Therapeutics and merged with LENZ Therapeutics in March 2024. As a standalone gene-editing company, Graphite Bio is no longer active.
