GNYHA Ventures was the for-profit business arm of the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), specializing in healthcare supply chain management and consulting. Through its primary subsidiaries, Acurity and Nexera, the company provided group purchasing services and strategic business consulting to hospitals and healthcare systems, primarily in the New York tri-state area. In early 2020, GNYHA Ventures' core assets, Acurity and Nexera, were acquired by Premier, Inc. for approximately $291 million. This acquisition consolidated GNYHA's regional purchasing power into Premier's national platform while maintaining a long-term partnership between the association and the acquirer. The company played a pivotal role in optimizing hospital operations and procurement for hundreds of healthcare facilities in the Northeast.
