Green Cross China Biological Products is a specialized biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and manufacturing of plasma-derived therapeutics. Founded in 1995 in Huainan, Anhui Province, it was originally established as the Chinese subsidiary of the South Korean firm GC Biopharma. The company operates a comprehensive production facility that supplies critical blood products, including human albumin, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), and coagulation factors like Factor VIII. In July 2024, the company was acquired by CR Boya Bio-pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of the state-owned China Resources Group, for approximately $250 million. This acquisition positions the company as a key asset within one of China's largest domestic plasma product platforms.
