Green Gulch Farm Zen Center

Green Gulch Farm Zen Center, also known as Green Dragon Temple, is a residential Zen training center and organic farm located near Muir Beach, California. Established in 1972 as a branch of the San Francisco Zen Center, it serves as a significant hub for Soto Zen practice, meditation, and sustainable land stewardship. The center operates a productive organic farm and garden that pioneered organic techniques in the region and continues to provide produce to local markets and renowned restaurants. In addition to its agricultural activities, Green Gulch offers public meditation sessions, workshops, and residential apprenticeship programs. The facility also includes a guest house and conference center for retreats focused on mindfulness, spiritual practice, and environmental education.
