Overview
Green Valley developed GV‑971 (sodium oligomannurarate), a first-in-class oral oligosaccharide drug derived from marine brown algae, targeting the brain-gut axis to treat mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease. In a completed Chinese Phase III trial, GV‑971 showed statistically significant cognitive improvement versus placebo with a similar safety profile. It was approved by the NMPA and launched in China as the first new Alzheimer’s drug there in over a decade. A global multicenter Phase III trial for U.S./EU approval has begun enrollment[6][10].
