Greene County Memorial Hospital

Greene County Memorial Hospital was a community healthcare provider located in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, that served as the primary medical facility for Greene County for nearly a century. Founded in 1907, the hospital provided a range of acute care services, including emergency medicine, general surgery, and diagnostic imaging. In 2005, the hospital was acquired by Essent Healthcare, which led to its transition into the Southwest Regional Medical Center. Following the sale, the Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation was established as a non-profit organization to manage the proceeds and support local health and wellness initiatives. The original hospital facility has since been replaced by newer regional healthcare infrastructure.
