Company intelligence / Profile preview
Greenwich Biosciences is the U.S. subsidiary historically used by GW Pharmaceuticals to commercialize EPIDIOLEX, a prescription plant-derived cannabidiol oral solution for severe epilepsies. The company focused on developing and commercializing cannabinoid-based prescription medicines for patients with serious neurologic disorders and limited treatment options. Greenwich Biosciences became part of Jazz Pharmaceuticals when Jazz completed its acquisition of GW Pharmaceuticals in May 2021. Today, the business appears to remain as an acquired subsidiary or legal entity within Jazz rather than an independently operating public biotech company.
