Urex Biotech is a Canadian biotechnology company founded in 1988 by Dr. Gregor Reid and Dr. Andrew Bruce, pioneers in the study of the human microbiome and probiotics. The company specialized in the development and clinical validation of specific probiotic strains designed to improve women's health, particularly for the prevention and treatment of urogenital infections. Its flagship products, the Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14 strains, are the most extensively researched probiotics for vaginal health in the world.
