Greystone Pharmaceuticals was a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of advanced wound care and regenerative medicine solutions. The company's core innovation was its Poly-Hydrated Ion (PHI) technology, a proprietary formulation designed to promote healing in chronic, non-responsive wounds by regulating the wound microenvironment. In 2006, the assets of Greystone's wound care business, including the PHI technology, were acquired by 3M Health Care. This acquisition led to the global commercialization of the technology under the brand name Tegaderm Matrix, which is used to treat hard-to-heal ulcers by inhibiting excessive protease activity.
