Griffin-American Healthcare REIT IV was a non-traded real estate investment trust focused on acquiring and managing a diversified portfolio of healthcare-related real estate. Its portfolio primarily consisted of medical office buildings, senior housing facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals across the United States and internationally. In 2021, the company merged with Griffin-American Healthcare REIT III and American Healthcare Investors to form American Healthcare REIT. This consolidation aimed to create a large, internally managed healthcare REIT with increased scale and efficiency. The successor entity, American Healthcare REIT, subsequently completed an initial public offering in 2024.
