Groome Capital was a Canadian financial services and brokerage firm focused on institutional financing, private placements, research, sales, and trading for emerging growth companies. The firm was based in Montreal and also had a Toronto presence, and it appears to have operated under entities including Groome Capital.Com Inc. and Groome Capital Advisory Inc. Although it had exposure to biotechnology financings as part of its broader capital-markets activity, it was not itself a life sciences or healthcare operating company. Its brokerage division was acquired by Desjardins Securities in 2001, and multiple business-directory sources now indicate that the original company is closed or inactive.
