Group Health Physicians

Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG), formerly known as Group Health Physicians, is a large multi-specialty medical group that serves as the exclusive clinical provider for Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state. The group consists of more than 1,300 physicians and clinicians providing primary, specialty, and surgical care across dozens of medical facilities. WPMG operates within an integrated healthcare delivery system, emphasizing evidence-based medicine, population health management, and patient-centered care. Following the 2017 acquisition of Group Health Cooperative by Kaiser Permanente, the medical group rebranded to align with the national Permanente Medical Groups model. The organization is also deeply involved in clinical research and health services innovation through its partnership with the Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute.
