GrowSafe Systems

GrowSafe Systems was a Canadian precision livestock technology company that developed integrated hardware, sensors, RFID-based data capture, and analytics software for cattle and other livestock monitoring. Its products focused on measuring feed intake, body weight, animal behavior, and health-related phenotypes to help producers and researchers improve animal well-being, feed efficiency, and profitability. The company was founded in 1990 and built a commercial platform used in animal agriculture and research settings rather than a human therapeutics pipeline. In July 2020, GrowSafe Systems combined with Vytelle, and the combined business has operated under the Vytelle brand. As a result, GrowSafe is best characterized as a commercial animal health/agtech platform company rather than a biotech drug developer.
