Grupo Cooperativo GEMCAD

GEMCAD (Grupo Español Multidisciplinar en Cáncer Digestivo) is a Spanish non-profit cooperative group dedicated to clinical and translational research in digestive system tumors. Founded in 2006, the organization functions as an Academic Research Organization (ARO) that brings together multidisciplinary specialists, including medical oncologists, surgeons, and pathologists, to design and execute clinical trials. GEMCAD focuses on improving treatment outcomes for gastrointestinal cancers through the evaluation of novel therapeutic combinations, including immunotherapies and targeted agents. The group collaborates extensively with the pharmaceutical industry and international research networks to advance clinical guidelines and standard-of-care protocols for colorectal, gastric, and pancreatic malignancies.
