Company intelligence / Profile preview
Gruppo Italiano Studio Linfomi (GISL) was a prominent Italian non-profit cooperative research organization dedicated to the clinical study and treatment of lymphomas. Founded to coordinate multicenter clinical trials across Italy, the group focused on improving therapeutic outcomes for patients with Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin lymphomas. GISL was instrumental in conducting large-scale Phase 2 and Phase 3 studies that evaluated novel chemo-immunotherapy combinations and targeted agents. In 2010, the organization merged with the Intergruppo Italiano Linfomi (IIL) and the Programma Lombardo Malattie Ematologiche dell'Adulto (PLRG) to form the Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (FIL). Its legacy continues through the FIL, which remains a central pillar of hematological research in Europe.
