GTC Nutrition

GTC Nutrition was a U.S.-based supplier of science-based nutritional and functional food ingredients rather than a therapeutics developer. The company focused on commercial ingredients for foods, beverages, dietary supplements, medical foods, and animal nutrition, with notable products including NutraFlora short-chain fructooligosaccharides (scFOS), CalciLife, Aquamin, OatVantage, and FortiFeed. Founded in 1988 in Golden, Colorado, GTC Nutrition built its business around prebiotic fiber and related health-positioned ingredient systems for digestive wellness, mineral delivery, and nutrition formulation. Corn Products International acquired a 75% stake in April 2004, and later ownership is generally treated as part of Ingredion following Corn Products International's rebranding. The company appears to have been absorbed into its parent and no longer operates as an independent active brand or standalone company.
