Guangxi Huike Research and Development (GHK) was a pharmaceutical research and development company based in Nanning, Guangxi, China, specializing in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and plant-based healthcare products. Acquired by American Oriental Bioengineering (AOBO) in 2008 for $13.6 million, the company served as a dedicated R&D center focused on the development, extraction, and regulatory approval of botanical pharmaceuticals. GHK was primarily recognized for its contributions to gynecological health, providing the research foundation for the 'Jinji' series of products used to treat inflammatory conditions. The company managed the entire development process, from raw material selection to navigating the NMPA approval pathway, and completed over 60 projects including clinical trial approvals and technology patents. Following the financial decline and delisting of its parent company, GHK's operations were largely integrated or ceased.
