GulfStream Bioinformatics was a healthcare information technology company that specialized in developing software solutions for genomic research and biobanking. The company's flagship product was the BIGR (Biomaterials and Information for Genomic Research) System, which was designed to facilitate the collection, management, and analysis of large-scale repositories of biomaterials and associated clinical data. Originally developed by Ardais Corporation and further enhanced by GulfStream, the BIGR platform provided an integrated environment for translational research and biomarker discovery. The company was a member of Microsoft's BioIT Alliance and collaborated with various academic and clinical institutions to streamline bioinformatics workflows.
