Company intelligence / Profile preview
DelMar Pharmaceuticals was a clinical-stage oncology biotechnology company focused on developing therapies for difficult-to-treat solid tumors and orphan cancer indications. Its legacy lead asset was VAL-083, a first-in-class DNA-targeting small-molecule chemotherapeutic studied in glioblastoma and other resistant cancers. In 2020, DelMar merged with Adgero Biopharmaceuticals, changed its name to Kintara Therapeutics, and added REM-001, a late-stage photodynamic therapy for cutaneous metastatic breast cancer. Kintara later discontinued VAL-083 after negative glioblastoma results and ultimately merged with TuHURA Biosciences in October 2024. As a result, DelMar no longer operates as an independent company, but it remains the historical company corresponding most closely to the requested name.
