Company intelligence / Profile preview
Hacker Instruments is a long-standing U.S. supplier and manufacturer of instrumentation and consumables for anatomical pathology and histology laboratories. The business has historically offered tissue processors, cryostats, microtomes, embedding centers, coverslippers, slide stainers, laboratory microwave systems, storage products, and related accessories used in tissue specimen preparation. Founded in 1942 and based in Winnsboro, South Carolina, the company served pathology labs for decades under the legal entity Hacker Industries, Inc. The Hacker brand has since been acquired and integrated into Pathology Service, Inc. (PSi), which now markets Hacker products and supports legacy equipment. Hacker is therefore best characterized as a commercial histology equipment brand/company rather than a therapeutic drug developer.
