Overview

Halt Medical developed the Acessa System (also called Halt Global Fibroid Ablation System), which received FDA approval in November for treating uterine fibroids. The device uses radiofrequency ablation technology to treat fibroids while preserving normal uterine function. The company completed a 137-patient IDE clinical trial at 11 sites in 3 countries demonstrating clinical safety and efficacy.
