Company intelligence / Profile preview
Hamol was a prominent Swiss pharmaceutical company originally founded in Zurich, best known for its development and marketing of consumer healthcare products and analgesics. The company gained international recognition for its 'Hamol' brand of paracetamol and its line of dermatological creams, including the widely used Hamol sun cream and Vitapointe hair care products. In the 1960s, Hamol was acquired by Wander AG, which subsequently became part of the Sandoz group and later Novartis. Today, the Hamol brand name continues to exist in various markets, most notably in Israel where it remains a leading brand of paracetamol manufactured by Dexcel Pharma, and in Switzerland under the ownership of Verfora.
