Company intelligence / Profile preview
Harbin First Bio-Engineering Company Limited was a primary subsidiary of China Sky One Medical, Inc., a pharmaceutical firm formerly listed on NASDAQ. Based in Harbin, China, the company focused on the development, manufacturing, and marketing of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, diagnostic kits, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) products. Its most notable commercial offerings included the Sumei Slim Patch for weight loss and rapid diagnostic kits for heart attack detection developed in collaboration with the University of Alberta. The company's operations were significantly curtailed following the delisting of its parent company in 2012 amid allegations of financial fraud and misrepresentation of its research and development activities. While it was once a major player in the Chinese OTC market, it is now largely considered inactive in the context of international investment.
