Harden Healthcare was a prominent provider of senior healthcare services based in Austin, Texas. The company specialized in a "continuum of care" model, offering services ranging from home health and hospice to assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. At its peak, Harden operated in 13 states and employed tens of thousands of healthcare professionals. In October 2013, the company was acquired by Gentiva Health Services for approximately $409 million. This acquisition allowed Gentiva to significantly expand its hospice and community-care offerings. Following the acquisition, Harden's operations were integrated into Gentiva's existing business units.
