Company intelligence / Profile preview
Harlan Contract Research Services (CRS) was a leading global provider of non-clinical research services, specializing in toxicology and safety assessment for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and chemical industries. The company offered comprehensive support for drug development, including lead optimization, analytical chemistry, and environmental risk assessment. In 2014, Harlan Laboratories merged with Huntingdon Life Sciences to create a unified contract research and research models organization. This combined entity was rebranded as Envigo in 2015 to streamline its global operations. In 2019, the contract research services division of Envigo was acquired by Labcorp, while the research models business remained independent before eventually being acquired by Inotiv. Today, the legacy of Harlan CRS resides within Labcorp's drug development business.
