Harrison Clinical Research (HCR) was a prominent international contract research organization (CRO) providing full-service clinical development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. Founded in 1987 by Dr. Francisco Harrison, the company specialized in Phase I-IV clinical trials across various therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiology, and the central nervous system. In 2013, HCR was acquired by the U.S.-based CRO Synteract to form SynteractHCR, significantly expanding its global footprint and service capabilities. The combined entity was later integrated into Syneos Health following further industry consolidation.
