Harvard Custom Manufacturing (HCM) was a contract manufacturing organization (CMO) that specialized in the production of complex electronic assemblies, printed circuit boards, and cable harnesses. The company served high-reliability sectors, with a significant portion of its business dedicated to the medical device industry, including diagnostic imaging and patient monitoring systems. HCM provided end-to-end services ranging from design for manufacturability to full system integration and testing. Based in Salisbury, Maryland, the firm also operated international facilities to support global supply chains. In January 2007, HCM was acquired by Benchmark Electronics for approximately $45 million to enhance Benchmark's presence in the medical and aerospace markets.
